The logo needed to consist of both the brand name and an icon. Examples of the icons mentioned by the client included that of a plant leaf, fern, vine or even a papaya leaf. The Font needed to be black and resonate with the Aveda font as listed on http://www.aveda.com - Clean, bold, & sharp points on the “A” and “V” , but no dot in the middle like that of Aveda. In addition we were also instructed not to use any rounded fonts and that it should be urban, upmarket, fresh and simple.
