This website is an online portfolio for the artist, Rita Knoetze, that is based in Sedgefield, South Africa. With no real experience in content management systems, this website proved to be quite challenging as it required tremendous flexibility without any added complexity.

Showcasing her latest artworks, this website also allows for online ordering of various types of media (function currently disabled). The client wanted a creative, minimalist approach where more focus was given to her artwork than on the actual website itself. With this in mind, Tiny Giant Studios decided on a fairly monotone design whereby the colours would instead be used as highlighting method.
As the client’s home-town is fairly small, we opted for a simple (yet effective) email campaign to use as a marketing strategy. Throughout the website project, simplicity was the key – which is why using Mailchimp’s online email campaign software proved exceedingly efficient.
In developing this artist portfolio website, we opted for simplicity over verbose functionality: resulting in stripping down its features to absolute necessities that include:

- Integrated Search Engine Optimisation;
- Enhanced gallery features with web 2.0 image display;
- Integrated visitor tracking software;
